What is a Loss Adjuster?

Accidents happen. Flood, theft, fire or just burst plumbing can damage or destroy your home, and when it happens it can be highly stressful.
There are many things to consider when it comes to making a claim, including emergency payments, building estimates, the appointment of surveyors, where to stay or live in the interim period, and so on.

During this time, a loss adjuster will be sent to you by your insurance company. But whilst this is standard for any insurance claim, it is important to note that these insurance company adjusters are there to work for the benefit of the insurance company, and will do their best to mitigate or reject the payout from the claim based on clauses within the policy. It is their job to reduce the insurance company’s liability.
